Bostech's hc1.com Healthcare Relationship Management® solution combines comprehensive healthcare CRM, real-time dashboards and alerts, and secure messaging capabilities to optimize relationships between healthcare professionals. As a cloud based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution, hc1.com can be adopted without any up-front capital investment and there is no IT infrastructure to maintain. Overview of Responsibilities: To help maximize our opportunity in this market, we are hiring a Linux System Administrator. This individual must be technically skilled, highly motivated with excellent problem solving skills. This role will be responsible for system maintenance of all services, monitoring and automation of systems. The Linux System Administrator consults with the appropriate IT teams to resolve problems. We work closely with all support teams and other members of the Engineering team to develop a strong all-round understanding of systems and networks. Diligence and attention to detail are key skills along with ability to multi-task and prioritize work appropriately. This role must be eager and quick to learn, exhibit clear communication skills and able to use their initiative to tackle a broad range of problems. |
| Duties: | Primary Responsibilities: •• Solve complex technical issues involving multiple technology stacks; •• Serve as escalation point for complex issues; •• Configure and deploy new applications and services; •• Create technical documentation for operational use; •• Ability to identify hardware and software problems and coordinate system maintenance activities; •• Operate and tune major RDMS and non-SQL datastores; •• Manage cloud hosting; •• Serve in a mentorship role to junior system administrators; •• Manage general IT office functions; |
| Qualifications: | Professional Qualifications: ••• A two-year degree or equivalent experience required; •• 3-5 years of hands-on Linux exposure in a production environment; •• Proficiency in at least one scripting language; •• Thorough understanding of the Java technology stack; •• Exceptional network management and troubleshooting skills; •• Experience serving in a team environment with on-call responsibilities; •• Excellent analytical skills; •• Experience using and extending monitoring systems like Nagios; •• Ability to work both independently and in team environments; Primary Technologies Used: - Apache (HTTPD, Tomcat, SOLR, ActiveMQ)
